What does the term 'heating zone' mean?

Thanks to the KNX/EIB system, each room can have its own temperature, thus it forms a heating zone (one requires different conditions in the living room, bedroom or children's room), independent from the outside conditions (two similar rooms located in different parts of the house require different amounts of heat at different times of the day, which is not possible using traditional methods). Thanks to the use of the KNX/EIB system, the heating installation is used optimally, which greatly contributes to savings.
